Take a mom break, you deserve it.

Between juggling household chores and changing nappies, its hard to find time to take care of yourself. Here are a few 10 minute activities you can sneak into your schedule to take a mom break, while your baby is asleep. (Trust me, it’ll be worth the few unwashed dishes)

 

Shop online

In the digital age of now, eCommerce is dominating the retail industry. It’s convenient to shop online within the comforts of your own home. As a new mom with a busy schedule, having the option browse online and have your items delivered to you is perfect. Its also super easy to find exactly what you’re looking for on the vast internet especially since you’re able to shop internationally on reputable sites such as ASOS, Zara and Taobao.

Doll yourself up

Look better, feel better. Its extremely common for new moms to neglect themselves in the midst of caring for their newborn. Take 5 extra minutes in the morning to doll up and you’d be surprised to see what a difference some undereye concealer, blush and mascara can do.

Do some yoga

There is a long list of benefits associated with yoga, such as being stress reducing, relaxation and lowering blood pressure. Taking a few minutes each day to do some yoga and you’ll reap the benefits soon enough.

Make yourself some food

Cook a meal for yourself that isn’t last night’s leftovers, frozen food, or baby mush. For some mums, cooking a proper meal is therapeutic just the way I find getting my hair cut relaxing.

Hand over parenting duties to the dad for the night

You know, he played half the role in creating your baby, he should do more than the occasional diaper change. Hand off said duties, have him put his mom on speed dial in case he has a “parenting emergency” and take the night off and have fun with your girlfriends!
